As we shared last week, we will take on an all virtual school format starting Wednesday, November 18, 2020. We will be providing instruction in a live format to all our hybrid and remote students on one schedule. It is important that all students, hybrid and remote, attend the scheduled class meetings throughout the week.

We hope the new schedule will allow for flexibility, screen breaks, and live virtual instruction from our teachers along with some supported work time as students are all managing this from home. It is the expectation that students follow the schedule below and log into classes at the start of each time block. Attendance will be monitored on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday as students log in to each Google Meet. On Wednesday, students will need to complete the attendance survey they have been using during our current schedule. Students WILL NOT have mandatory class meetings for study hall or iPass.

These are a few important components in this framework and ALL Student schedules:

• Weekly modules will still be posted in Canvas using the current format.
• Class Meetings will be run through Google Meet and are mandatory for student attendance. If students are sick or have appointments and cannot attend a Google Meeting, we will need parents to contact the attendance line (317-789-4820) so we can record attendance properly.
• Teachers will record student attendance for each period in Skyward based on students who attend the class meeting. Students will not be required to meet during study hall or iPass. Study halls can be used for independent work time and students can request individual meetings with teachers during iPass.
• There will be time for direct instruction including classroom discussions and group work during the first 45 minutes of each class period
• The last 30 minutes will be used for students’ supported work time. The teacher will stay logged into the Google Meeting to be able to answer questions or provide additional support.

Teachers will communicate with students this week to prepare them for this new schedule. We will begin full virtual learning and classroom meetings on Thursday, November 19th.
