Students in Miss Haase’s morning intersession math class planned a trip to New York City. They had to predict the cost of the travel, food, lodging, and site seeing attractions.
Once the students predicted the cost of the trip they began researching hotel prices, restaurant costs, fuel prices, and the admission costs of the sites they wanted to visit. The students say this learning exercise, which involved writing, math and research, taught them several things but one especially which is “We love New York City”!!!!!
