Woodrow Wilson Fellows from University of Indianapolis visited Southport Middle School. Wilson Fellows are professionals who are studying to become math and science teachers and commit to teaching in an urban setting for 3 years after they graduate. They will visit various educational settings across the city. The specific goal of visiting SMS was to show them various resources and ideas for teaching English Language Learners. The visits included a tour of the school, math and science classroom observations, and a debrief/discussion time with the assistant principal.
