May is Better Hearing and Speech Month
Since 1927, The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association has recognized May as Better Hearing and Speech Month. As Speech Language Pathologists, we are excited to have a month dedicated to bringing awareness to speech, language, and hearing disorders and the role that we play in helping individuals with communication disorders. During this annual event, we will take time to focus on raising awareness about communication disorders and promoting ways to improve the quality of life for those who experience problems with speaking, understanding, or hearing.
