Hearing Screenings
Perry Township Speech-Language Pathologists conduct hearing screenings at the beginning of each school year.
Identification of any hearing impairment is critical at an early age so that you child can continue his/her speech, language, and academic development. If you have any questions about your child’s hearing, please contact the Speech Therapist at your child’s school.
There are some ways to keep your ears healthy and to protect them from damage and we have included some links for you as resources.
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association has put together a campaign that is focused on educating children and parents about practicing safe listening habits when using personal listening devices, in order to avoid possible noise-induced hearing loss in the future. The have named their campaign Listen to Your Buds.
