Preschoolers in Mrs. Grossman’s class at the Early Childhood Academy have a classroom pet!  She is a guinea pig named Lily.  Not only does Lily enrich the classroom experience but the children are using science skills, learning about guinea pig care, diet and habitat.  These young students are also building social skills such as responsibility and empathy.
