Perry Meridian 6th Grade Academy hosted its first annual Access to Success: Data and Technology Night. Parents attended three information sessions along with their students to learn about ISTEP+, Acuity and SRI (Scholastic Reading Inventory). These are the three tests used to help identify strengths and weaknesses in a student’s academic skill set. Parents learned the purpose of each assessment, how to interpret their child’s scores, and resources that are available to help their child improve. To conclude the event, the sixth graders used their 1 to 1 device to lead their parents on a virtual tour of the software programs and resources commonly used and integrated into class instruction.
When parents, teachers, and students work together towards a common goal student success becomes much more likely. PMA is proud of their students and families for taking an active role in their academic success!
