Douglas MacArthur, along with ARTS FOR LEARNING, (The Indiana affiliate of Young Audiences) hosted “A DAY OF THE ARTS” on Wednesday, May 25th.  Students of Douglas MacArthur were entertained AND educated by the NAPTOWN JAZZ 5 and REED STEELE, Indiana Mime.

Our jazzy visitors shared various jazz songs, including “It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing” which many of our students performed at the Perry Township Music Festival In March.

Through mime, sign language, music, and audience participation, Mr. Steele shared how Indiana has played a big role in shaping American history, culture and events through famous astronauts, comedians, jazz, sports, and more.

Generals thoroughly enjoyed “A DAY OF THE ARTS”.  Thanks to ARTS FOR LEARNING for a fantastic day filled with learning and fun!
