The University of Indianapolis Science Department, under direction of instructor Mary Gobbett, works with first and second graders each week to teach science lessons. This week, first graders at Abraham Lincoln were able to learn about fossils. We looked at fossils, compared them on charts and then students were able to make fossil imprints with their own items (bugs, animal footprints, tree leaves) in clay.  Below are photos of Mrs. Compton’s students enjoying the lesson.
