Abraham Lincoln Elementary fifth graders experienced a field trip to the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Students explored the ideas surrounding “place” including interiors, natural settings, cityscapes, and seascapes. They were able to compare and contrast how artists explored, depicted, and included the natural world in their art at different times and in different cultures. The group concluded the day with a group picture at Robert Indiana’s “LOVE” sculpture.
