Mrs. Kathy Lapkovitch’s kindergarten class from Abraham Lincoln Elementary School visited the ‘Survive Alive’ program. During the program, firefighters taught students about fire safety and what to do in the event of a real fire. They showed students how their uniform looks and explained not to be afraid if they see fire fighters in a fire situation. The children experienced a mock house fire and even crawled out of a window and went to a “neighbor’s house” to call 911.
