Mrs. Melinda Williams’ third grade class at ALE partnered with Helping the Homeless in Indy this holiday season.  They collected hats, gloves, blankets, hand/feet warmers, food, drinks, and daily care needs such as chapstick, shampoo and soap with the help of students, staff and PTA at Abraham Lincoln Elementary.  They collected enough donations to fill 39 backpacks that will to be delivered to the homeless.  There are hundreds of homeless living on the streets in Indianapolis, and thousands more residing in temporary shelters.  AL challenges you to think about what you can do for the homeless.
