Commencement 2020 is just a few short months away!  Every year, we plan a graduation ceremony that honors students and accommodates their loved ones who cheer on their achievements.

Many guests have commented in recent years that family members were not able to attend the program as a limited number of tickets were issued to each graduate. The graduation ceremony has outgrown the school gym as our enrollment increases, and the availability for family members to attend has lessened.  We would like to ensure that we can accommodate as many family members and guests as possible. To do so, district administrators have changed the location and date.

This year, the Perry Meridian High School Commencement will be held at Southport High School’s Fieldhouse on Thursday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m.

Consideration was given to hosting the ceremony at Falcon Stadium. However, the unpredictable nature of Indiana weather, seating location concerns, and accessibility for those with limited mobility, made this option extremely problematic.

Other venues throughout the county were also considered. Unfortunately, out-of-district facilities require hefty fees, which made those options less desirable.

Planning is underway to ensure plenty of Falcon spirit will be on display. Our goal is to give our scholars an unforgettable graduation experience without the burden of worrying about how many guests can attend.
