The parents of Burkhart third grade students were invited to attend an informational meeting to learn more about the upcoming state-required IREAD-3 assessment. A presentation was given regarding the history of the test, what is involved for students when taking the test, and discussing the types of things parents can do at home to help their child and support the efforts of the classroom teacher. Additionally, the classroom teachers provided each parent in attendance with assessment data for their child, to help parents understand the progress their child has been making this school year.
