Thanks to WILD FIRE and the Indiana Pacers for hosting Capes for Kids / Dream Big at Rosa Parks Thursday. It gave RPE 2nd graders a chance to demonstrate their core values.
The theme, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., was a superhero day for the second grade students.  Students were first presented with a message about becoming real life Hero’s and following their dreams, by Perry Township Social Worker, Kyle Walke, and “Dr. Dunk”, former Indiana Pacer Darnell Hillman. Following their remarks the students put their artistic skills together making their own superhero capes.
WILDFIRE and Pacer volutneers, including Boomer and Pacemates, came together to help students create their capes with positive messages of LOVE, PEACE and COURAGE.
Afterwards students were treated to lots and lots of pizza!
