It was a great start to Fall Break with both the Southport Cardinals and the Perry Meridian Falcons winning Friday night. The Cards were on the road taking on a Bloomington North squad that just wouldn’t go away until the 4th quarter. However the Cardinals behind their high powered offense finally pulled away. The final Southport 56 Bloomington North 29.

The Falcons were at home playing a tough Terre Haute North team. Perry gets it down with a 2 point win; 30-28

The big news over the weekend is both teams found out who they’ll play in Sectional 7. Perry Meridian at 5-3 currently will go up against 5-3 Warren Central and 6-2 Southport will host 2-6 Franklin Central. Stay tuned for dates and times. Both teams have one more regular season game this week. Southport is at home for senior night hosting Columbus North and Perry Meridian is at Bloomington South. Congratulations to both Perry Meridian and Southport on winning regular seasons as they head into the sectionals.
