The Indian Creek Christian Church has expanded into Perry Township and as a way of giving back to the community church leaders presented the district with thousands of dollars in gift cards. The Walmart gift cards totaling more than $9 thousand dollars will be divided among school district social workers to assist the families of needy students.

Church officials say money for the cards was raised by their youth group which held a concert earlier this fall. Assistant Superintendent Robert Bohannon and Associate Director of Student Services, Louis Norris accepted the gracious donation for the township and will distribute the cards to help Perry Township families.
