The Mustang Speech Team capped one of its best seasons by placing 3rd at the Fishers Invitational on Saturday.
Three Mustangs took firsts: Evan Eels and Sasha Sears in Radio Broadcasting, Maggie Sears took first place in Discussion.
Five Mustangs earned second place finishes: Ava Ward in Drama, the Duo of Grant Christian & Sean Smith, Rachel Harper in Humorous Interpretation, Daisy Robles in Original Oratory, and Moses Mang in Radio Broadcasting.
There were three third place finishes: the duo of Daisy Robles and Madison Anthony, Nun Za Lian in Impromptu, and Charity Merrill in Original Oratory.
Fourth place ribbons were won by the Memorized Duo of Piper Clark & Farrell Jackson, the scripted duo of Lainey Scifres and Meredith Cash, Lainey Scifres also placed 4th in poetry. A fourth place ribbon was earned by Allyson Schneider in Prose.
Cara Geoghagan was 5th in Prose as was Meredith Cash in Impromptu Speaking.
Others placing for Perry Meridian were: Madison Anthony 6th in Prose, Sam Hoke 7th in Discussion.
Original Oratory saw Allyson Haver placing 6th, Gillian Heitzman 7th, Robby Simms and Jasmine Roembke were 8th.
Others participating for the Mustangs were Diana Pyle and Alexis Ellis in scripted duo, along with Elise Houk in poetry.
