Fifth grade students in Mrs. Hope Maled’s classroom at Douglas MacArthur participated in a cup-stacking challenge as a way to build team skills.  Students had to use four strings fastened to a rubber band, instead of their hands, in order to pick up cups and stack them.  Comments such as, “That’s impossible!” were replaced with shrieks of satisfaction as teams achieved the goal before the timer beeped.
