On Thursday, November 12, the staff at Douglas MacArthur hosted a literacy night for families! The fun evening included literacy themed games, crafts, activities, shopping, and technology. Several staff members read funny stories, and the second grade team continue their annual grade level performance of the book, Monsters Love Underpants. The evening also featured a number of visiting authors! The students in Mrs. Walterman’s literacy class wrote, edited, published, and presented silly monster stories. These stories were on display for all visitors and the students were able to read their stories to the audience! Great job, Fourth graders! It was a fun evening for families and a great way to get students reading more! Be sure to attend our 2016 Literacy Night!
