This week, Mrs. Rebecca Hauber’s preschool class read a book called The Colors of Us by Karen Katz. The book reviewed different colors of skin and how these differences make each person unique. Then, the children made self-portraits. They mixed paints to get the color that they thought best matched their skin color. After that, features were added to their faces. Creating these portraits was a fun way to learn about and celebrate diversity. For more class photos, visit the Perry Township Schools’ Facebook page.
