Students in Rebecca Hauber’s class at the Early Childhood Academy began piloting Everyday Mathematics for Preschool. This week they signed in each day to take attendance. They did rhythmic counting by clapping, jumping, snapping, and hopping as they counted. The children created age collages by taking the number of each item to correspond with their age. By doing these simple, age appropriate, interactive activities at the preschool level, they are building their math skills for kindergarten.
