First grade students at JGE went to the Indiana State Fairgrounds for a “Farm to Pizza” field trip. This trip coincides with their plants unit in science. They learned about the plants and animals that grow on the farm which make food.  After learning about the farm, students created their own individual pizzas for lunch. The JGE PTA sponsored a portion of the field trip.
