Second grade students at Douglas MacArthur were treated with a visit from a local firefighter.  Firefighter Mike taught students how to stop, drop, and roll, and discussed the importance of being prepared in case of an emergency.  He showed how quickly fire and smoke can spread in your home and taught students to “get out and stay out.”  Firefighter Mike put on his fire suit, mask, and air tank to show students how a firefighter would save someone from a burning home.   This visit corresponds with the story Firefighter! by Angela Royston.
