A large crowd turned out to see the annual district rivalry game between the Cardinals and Falcons at Perry Meridian Friday night. The Falcons beat the Cardinals in the JV game by just 4 in a game that went down to the wire. The final was 42-38.

In between games Perry Meridian’s Sr. basketball players were honored for their four years of dedication to their sport as well as their academics. Each of the senior girls were escorted onto the court by their parents where they received a gift basket from their teammates.

Southport got off to an 11-0 start in the Varsity game and continued the momentum winning 60-39.
