Ezra Deckard, a fifth grade student at Glenns Valley and his mother Mrs. Deckard a GV teacher recently visited Managua, Nicaragua and helped build a sport court.  Ezra and his soccer coaches presented information about his trip to every GV student.  Students were encouraged to make soccer balls from materials “trash” that they already had at home.  The children in Nicaragua do not have money for soccer balls, so they make their own.  GV students brought their soccer balls to school and were able to play soccer in PE class.  GV students donated over $400.00 to purchase equipment for students in Nicaragua.  We are very proud of our students and their compassion for other children!
