The fifth graders of Douglas MacArthur were thrilled to Anna Savkina, a 20 year old violinist from Russia, perform for them.  She played selections from famous composers such as Bach and Tchaikovsky as well as giving our students a glimpse into her life in Russia. Anna is a participant in the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis.  The IVCI’s mission is to recognize, reward and promote the world’s finest young classical violinists, and to encourage understanding and support of the violin by reaching a large and diverse audience.
