For the past 17 years, boys and girls at Burkhart School have made Valentine cards for Veterans during the month of February.  Judy Ray, Burkhart’s Head Custodian, has delivered these cards each year to Roudebush Veterans Hospital in the days before Valentine’s Day.

This year under the direction of Burkhart’s art teacher, Melody Penish, boys and girls in grades 1 – 5 had the opportunity to create cards.  Pictured here are, left to right: Addelynn Reed, Xitlali Casas, Eric Juan-Canela, Ta Par, Joanna Watson, Peyton Sanders, Khenza Hmung
