Superintendent of Public Instruction, Glenda Ritz, and other members from the Indiana Department of Education joined members from CELL (Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning) at UIndy and the state level TAP (The System for Teacher and Student Advancement) Team to observe one of Southport Elementary’s cluster meetings.  Afterwards, Superintendent Ritz participated in a meeting where the discussion focused on a number of educational issues with members of Southport Elementary School’s leadership team.  “It was an honor to have Superintendent Ritz visit with us today.  We feel between the observation and meeting it was a productive and informative day for all,” said SES Principal, Danny Mendez.
