Fifth grade actors from the JG-E Caravan, under the direction of Mrs. Fran Calvin, performed a play about the life of George Washington Carver.
Mr. Carver discovered hundreds of uses for peanuts, such as peanut butter and shampoos, but fought through much adversity as his peers thought he was “nuts.” Peanuts were only used as animal feed at the time, but after a lot of persuading, it was finally acceptable to use peanuts in all of those many ways.
