Third grade students at Rosa Parks Elementary have been studying the election process.  Each classroom had “parties” that nominated candidates for a class mascot and even ran campaigns!  As a culminating activity, students were able to cast their vote for the mascot they felt would best represent their homeroom.  Each student learned the importance of voting, how to voice his or her opinion, and how each vote does make a difference.
