While studying plants and seeds, the preschool children in Mrs. Rebecca Hauber’s class at the Early Childhood Academy planted grass seeds. The containers had their individual photos on them. The students placed soil and seeds in their cups and then watered them. Once the seeds started to grow, they were able to look through the cups and see the roots. The grass looked like “hair.” Before the students took their plants home, they perfected their cutting skills by giving their grass a “haircut.” The children enjoyed watching the process of a seed from planting to growing.
