To better understand the scientific method, Mrs. Melinda Richardson’s 4th grade class at DM, performed a scientific experiment.  The class formulated the hypothesis that germs are worse in certain areas of the room than in others.  To test this hypothesis, the class collected data by rolling parts of a potato on various surfaces, in different areas of the room.   Each sample was then placed in a secured baggie, labeled with the area they were testing.  They also had a clean potato in a control baggie.  Is there an area in the room with more germs and, if so, where is it?  Stay tuned for the results!
