Congratulations to James Lin! Hel, Burkhart Elementary School’s first Math Master of the 2013-14 school year!

The Math Masters (grades 3-5) and Math Whizzes (grades 1-2) programs are fun incentives to motivate students to do their best and work towards math fact mastery. Students who achieve Math Master or Math Whiz status will receive T-shirts or achievement pins as they pass 100-fact timed-tests, with 100% accuracy, two times in a row. Students’ names will be placed on “Our Shining Math Stars” wall of fame in the Burkhart front hallway. Additionally, Math Masters and Math Whizzes will receive special privileges on designated days when they wear their T-shirts or pins to school.

All students are encouraged to continue practicing their math facts so more T-shirts and achievement pins may be awarded in the future.
