The Glenns Valley Elementary School PTA provided a paleontology experience for kindergarten students by purchasing dinosaur kits.  The students “excavated” dinosaur skeletons, documented information about their dinosaurs in notebooks, used nonfiction resources to learn about their dinosaurs and composed a nonfiction passage about their dinosaurs.
