A wonderful tradition continued Thursday night; The Perry Township Schools Elementary Music Festival. This was the 40th such musical spectacular which was filled with lots of fun music. “The quality of our music instructors across the district was truly highlighted by last night’s rich quality performance”, stated superintendent, Dr. Tom Little. The Southport High School Fieldhouse was packed with nearly 1800 performing students joined by thousands of their family members.  This fun event could not be possible without the hard work of our terrific and dedicated elementary music educators. “Isn’t it wonderful to see an athletic venue, which last week was the location of a thrilling baseketball competition, filled to capacity this evening for a fine arts musical program!”, stated Henry Burkhart principal, John Happersberger.
