Perry Meridian school leaders were welcomed recently by leaders at their sister school, Gesamtschule Nippes, in Cologne, Germany.
Mr. Abraham and his counterpart Martin Nolte, the Principal at Gesamtschule Nippes, signed a letter of intent to begin a student exchange program in the fall of 2017. 15 Perry Meridian High School German students will travel to their sister-school in Cologne, Germany in the fall of next year for the 3 week exchange program which includes 2 weeks of school and 1 week visiting historical sites. 15 Students from Gesamtschule Nippes high school will travel to PMHS in the spring of 2018 for the 3 week program. Â This is part of the GAP program sponsored by Indianapolis Sister-Cities program. PM students will be raising money to pay their way for the trip.
The signing ceremony was done during a reception in the Cologne City Center where the Indianapolis Children’s Choir performed along with the Cologne Boy’s Choir.
