The Peer Mentoring Club teamed up with the Perry Meridian Middle School cheerleaders to cheer on the boys basketball teams on Thursday night. The combined groups performed a human tunnel, chants, cheer, and dance during the game. Kevin Pereira did an outstanding job as the Falcon mascot, getting the crowd pumped up with his performance to “Who Let The Dogs Out.”
Sponsors of the Peer Mentoring Club are Mrs. Phillips, Mrs. Dezelan, and Ms. John. Mrs. Phillips, who is also the chair of the Special Education department at the school, said this was “the first time an event like this has taken place in the 16 years I have worked at PMMS . It was awesome to see the Special Education department included in such a positive way at an athletic event. ”
Thank you to the Athletic Department, the administration, and cheerleading sponsors Ms. Coakley and Ms. Aspatore for making this possible.
