The PMMS Jazz Band competed in the Indiana State School Music Association Jazz competition at Whiteland High School.

The two day event brings together the top groups in instrumental and vocal jazz from across Central Indiana. The groups perform in front of top jazz educators using a rubric where 11 is a perfect score, with a “1” in each category being the best possible. The band’s total score was a “39”, 6 off a perfect. It is the highest score in the school’s history. In addition, they were competing in Group I, which is the most difficult level for Middle School/Jr. High groups.
