Congratulations to over 100 PMMS students eligible to vote in the state Young Hoosier Book Award election. To be eligible, students had to read and pass tests for at least 5 of the 20 nominees by the April deadline. This required a lot of time, determination, and long-term goal setting. To be rewarded for all of their hard work, Mrs. Preddy, the school librarian and project coordinator, awarded every voting student a book autographed by the author. There were a variety of books from which students could choose.
The winning book for the school will be announced this week and the votes have been turned in for the state election. The state’s middle grades winning book and author will be announced in May.
