After 10 years leading staff and students at Southport High School Principal Barbara Brouwer announced her retirement to the Perry Township School Board Monday night. Superintendent Dr. Tom Little commended Principal Brouwer for her passion for education and her commitment to her students. The long-time principal will retire at the end of the school year. She told her staff prior to Monday’s board meeting. There were a lot of tears from all those who’ve worked with her. She will be difficult to replace. As Ms. Brouwer would say; “Go Cards”!
