Proud Perry Meridian Middle School Principal David Rohl on Friday spoke to over 2,800 school administrators, university leaders and school librarians/library media specialist at the national AASL (American Association of School Librarians) National Conference in Columbus, Ohio. “Mr. Rohl took time out of his busy schedule to drive to Columbus and represent our school, our state, and the role administrators play in the success of our students.”, stated school librarian Leslie Preddy. He was phenomenal and others thought so too, stated Preddy, as photos of him were abundant during the conference closing event montage. And for the 48 hours left in the national conference following his speech, Mrs. Preddy says she couldn’t get anywhere on time because she was perpetually stopped by people moved by what he had to say. “He was eloquent, to the point, and sincere as he warmed up the crowd before the nationally recognized and award-winning superintends and principals panel kicked off the day of professional learning.”
