During their Red Ribbon Week Celebration, PMA students learned about the effects of drugs but focused on the importance of a “natural high” such as a sport, playing an instrument, or spending time with friends.  Each day through the week, students heard celebrity stories through videos from the organization Natural High.  Students were challenged to complete Drug-Free related activities (such as writing an anti-drug commercial, talking with parents, making a list of ways to say no, etc.) to earn brag tags.  Most students also participated in a dress up and door decorating contest to show their support for a drug-free lifestyle.  Each class drew a theme to dress and decorate to.  The winning groups were Mrs. Leslie Sering’s class (“Follow your dreams, don’t do drugs.”) for the door decorating contest and Mrs. Kiley Stiller’s class (“Sock it to drugs!”) for the dress up contest.  All students also signed the Natural High banner which is now on display at the Academy!
