Students at Southport Middle School read the selection “Rikki-tiki-tavi” and were then assigned to Team Cobra, Team Rikki or to be a judge.  To show the different perspective/point of view of characters, the teams had to find evidence from the selection and then present it to the judges in the form of a debate.  The question posed was, “Should Rikki have destroyed the cobra eggs or not?”  The judges created a rubric for the evaluation and determined which side was most convincing.
