Rosa Parks Elementary recent participation in DOT Day, based on the book DOT Day, has been noticed by the author, Peter Reynolds. Reynolds, after hearing about Rosa Parks contributions, to DOT Day decided to send the school a signed copy of his new book; So Few of Me.

He did this to honor teachers Kris Scifres and Brooke Conder for all their hard work. Reynolds found out about RPE’s involvement through the aunt of a school employee. “She told Peter about it and he was so excited!  He sent the students of RPE a copy of his newest book, So Few of Me, and signed it with a little message (To the students of Rosa Parks Edison, take time to dream…) To say the least the school is excited to be noticed by a national author for their efforts. Congratulations Rosa Parks!
