Students at Southport Elementary participated in Operation Christmas Child.  Students and their families donated toys and hygiene items.  These items were packed in shoe boxes that will be sent to children in need all around the world.  Their hope is to spread joy during the holiday season.  Many teachers paid to have their boxes tracked to see where their shoe box ended up.  They will recieve an email and video of where their box landed.  As a school, we keep track on a map and show the kids just how far our boxes have flown.
