Construction at Southport High School continues. The asphalt surface for the new tennis courts has been poured, lines have been painted, lighting and fencing have been installed.  Students are now playing tennis matches on the courts.  In addition, the project includes upgrading lighting with energy efficient fixtures,  adding new classrooms in the courtyard area, installing an elevator, replacing carpet throughout the school and renovations to the cafeteria.  Four portable classrooms are providing temporary space for instruction during the 2013-14 school year.
