Twenty-eight members of the SMS Spanish Club learned about the upcoming Día de los Muertos remembrance. Students enjoyed singing a song in Spanish with Srta Geiser about Día de los Muertos. They enjoyed contrasting Day of the Dead and Halloween with Srta Gunderson and found out they were 2 completely unrelated holidays. Sra Lopez-Servin shared traditional foods that would be typically eaten during this time. Sra Johnson led the students in creating/decorating skeletons to commemorate someone. At their next club meeting, they will be exploring the country of Ecuador with Sra Johnson through art, food and a slideshow presentation.
