Mrs. Fawn Harris’ & Mrs. Bobbie Firrie’s Kindergarten classes at Abraham Lincoln Elementary learned about keeping their teeth healthy.  In addition to learning proper ways to brush each day and what foods keep their teeth healthy, they conducted an experiment to see the staining effects that water, milk, juice and soda have on their teeth.  The class put hard boiled eggs into the liquids, predicted what would happen, then after a few days of sitting, they tried to brush the stains from the eggs.  The children wrote about the results of their experiment.  The Kindergarteners at Lincoln also participated in the IU School of Dentistry’s Tooth Scouts Program.
Great experiment!
