Fourth and fifth graders in Mrs. Christina Vandercook’s Spring Intersession class studied myths and legends, story elements, plot elements in a “roller coaster” diagram, and figurative language. They used team work to create their own “roller coaster” poster analyzing Dav Pilkey’s Dog Breath for plot elements. They applied all their learning by creating their own original myth or legend and became authors when they wrote and illustrated their books. Students posed for this group photo to display their hard work!
